Polyurethane

A man-made synthetic foam used for cushions and for upholstery filling in varying degrees of softness and density. For seat cushioning, foams that have a density of 1.8 pounds per cubic foot or higher offer the best support and durability characteristics.

Rigid polyurethane can also reproduce wood trim or be used to make an entire frame.
